As a Production Planner at Elektromontage, Jonatan Petersson plays a key role in ensuring that the right product is manufactured at the right time and by the right team. With the support of new technology, he now has even sharper tools to optimize the entire flow - from planning to delivery to the customer.
Keeping production running smoothly requires both structure and a holistic perspective. For Jonatan, the workday is about aligning schedules and resources to meet market demands with the best possible outcome.
“I plan production—deciding which team builds what and when, ensuring that everything aligns with the customer delivery schedule,” Jonatan explains.
Improved visibility in daily operations
As part of strengthening operational flow, Elektromontage has taken a major step forward by digitalizing its Visual Management. The new solution makes information more accessible and provides clearer visibility in daily operations.
As Elektromontage has grown and established operations in multiple locations across Sweden and Europe, the need for a shared and accessible management system has become increasingly important. With a unified way of working, the entire organization can operate based on the same information, regardless of location. This creates better conditions for engagement and collaboration within teams, while ensuring that all employees have access to real-time data.
“We’ve just begun our journey with digitalized Visual Management, where our daily management has moved from analogue whiteboards to a fully digital system. Everyone in the office can access it at their own workstation or while traveling.”
The screens act as a shared tool for the entire team, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
“Here you can see obstacles, ongoing projects and upcoming deliveries. Since digitalizing our daily management, we’ve seen much faster responses to issues, and everyone has access to the same information at all times.”
A role close to both decisions and production
For Jonatan, it’s the overall perspective that makes the role especially rewarding. Working close to both production, planning and decision-making creates better flow throughout the organization - something that is further strengthened by digital management.
“Since we are a relatively small company, decision-making paths are very short. The best part of my job is being involved in every stage.”
